Preparation
Type labels in different languages are included in the package. Stick the language label in your
language over the German language label on the back of the daily timer switch.
Choose between permanent operation and switch operation
There is a slide switch on the side of the daily timer switch to select the desired type of opera-
tion:
Position “ ” The socket is permanently switched on; settings on the timer are irrelevant
Position “ ” The socket is automatically switched on or off by the daily timer switch
depending on the existing settings
Setting the time
Turn the outer setting ring with the imprinted times clockwise (observe the big arrow on the
inner ring), until the symbol “ ” on the inner ring displays the current time.
Turn the setting ring only clockwise, it can be moved easily.
It is not possible to turn it anti-clockwise! Do not exert any force! If the daily timer
switch is damaged due to that, the warranty will be void!
The daily timer switch only works when it is supplied with electricity, i.e. when it is connected
to an active mains socket.
Setting the on/off times
With the segments on the edge of the setting ring (48 shift segments for 24 hours), you can set
the times for switching on or off.
A segment when pressed down activates the socket (voltage on), a segment when pushed
upwards or pulled out switches the socket off (no voltage, the connected device is off).
Example: If you wish a connected appliance to be switched on every weekday between 6 and
10 o‘clock, press the segments between 6 and 10 downwards. All the other segments must
be pulled out.
Due to the design of the daily timer switch (mechanical operation and switch pro-
cess; 48 shift segments for 24 hours), deviations from the switching times will occur.
For the switch processes or switching times that require accuracy, electronic daily
timer switchs should be used instead.
However, the mechanical daily timer switch has the great advantage that a setting
can be made very quickly.
Connecting a device to the daily timer switch
• Switch the device off.
• Plug the device to the socket of the daily timer switch; push the plug completely into the
socket of the daily timer switch.
• Switch the device on.
• If the slide switch for the type of operation is in the position “ ”, the socket of the daily timer
switch is permanently switched on.
If the slide switch for the type of operation is in the position “ ”, the socket of the daily timer
switch will be automatically switched on or off depending on the segments on the setting ring.
Care and Cleaning
Before cleaning the product, disconnect the appliance from the daily timer switch. Disconnect
then the daily timer switch from the power supply by pulling it out of the mains socket.
Never use abrasive cleaning agents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, since these
could damage the housing or even impair operation.
Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable material and do not belong in the household
waste. Dispose of an unserviceable product in accordance with the relevant statu-
tory regulations.
