Instructions
• Make sure that the mains cable is not squeezed, bent, damaged by sharp edges or put under
mechanical stress. Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable from extreme heat or
cold. Do not modify the mains cable. Otherwise the mains cable may be damaged. A damaged
mains cable can cause a deadly electric shock.
• Do not touch the mains cable if it is damaged. First, power down the respective mains socket
(e.g. via the respective circuit breaker) and then carefully pull the mains plug from the mains
socket. Never use the product if the mains cable is damaged.
• Never plug in or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• Do not overload the product! Pay attention to the maximum permitted total power consumption
of all connected loads in the "Technical data" section.
• Insert the mains plug into a wall socket.
• Do not cover the plug when it is in use. The plug and the connection cable will become warm
when there is a high connected load. This constitutes a re hazard.
• The plug is only isolated from the mains when it is disconnected from the mains socket.
• Only use the product in temperate climates, not in tropical climates.
• Warning! The product should only be installed by people with relevant electrical knowledge
and experience! If the product is not installed properly, you endanger:
- Yourself,
- and the user of the electrical device.
• Only connect the plug to a mains cable when the plug is isolated from the mains. Use a
measuring device to check that the plug is isolated from the mains. The plug must not be
connected to a mains socket when you are connecting the mains cable to the plug.
Installation
• Remove the screws on the plug using a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the plug cover.
• Loosen the Phillips screws in the strain relief so that the wires on the mains cable will pass through. The
mains cable is not included. Use a suitable cable that conforms to the specications listed in the "Technical
data" section.
• Remove the outer insulation on the wires to a maximum length of about 16 mm. Strip the insulation on
each of the three wires on the mains cable to a length of about 6 mm. The earth cable (yellow-green cable)
should be at least 6 mm longer so that it remains the last cable in the screw terminal in the event of a fault.
• Push the stripped ends of the wires through the cable glands and the strain relief.
• The neutral wire should be connected to "N", the live wire (phase) to "L" and the protective earth to the
clamping point with the " E" symbol. Do not clamp any insulated parts of the wires. Place the wires into
the cable openings.
• Tighten the Phillips screws so that the strain relief grips the outer insulation and holds the wires in place.
Do not overtighten the screws.
Operation
• Insert the plug into a properly grounded mains socket (wall socket).
• The plug can be switched on and off using the on/off switch (I = on, 0 = off)
Maintenance and cleaning
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these could damage the
casing or even impair the functioning of the product.
• Disconnect the plug from the mains socket before cleaning it.
• Use a dry, lint-free cloth to clean the product. Dust can be easily removed using a soft and clean long-
haired brush and a vacuum cleaner.
Disposal
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the household waste. At
the end of its service life, dispose of the product according to the relevant statutory regulations.
You thus full your statutory obligations and contribute to the protection of the environment.
