7. General safety instructions
Read the operating instructions and safety information carefully. If you do not follow the safety
instructions and information on proper handling in this manual, we will assume no liability for any
resulting personal injury or damage to property. Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
• Warning – burn hazard! The air outlet and nozzles become very hot in operation. Let all tools cool down
rstbeforeyoureturnthemtothecarryingcase.
• Always wear gloves while you work with the product.
• Do not inhale any fumes produced while using the product. Hot air can cause chemical reactions in
certainmaterials.Therefore,alwaysensurethereissufcientventilationwhenworkinginlivingspaces,
garages, etc.
• Do not use the product to dry your hair.
• Never point the air stream at animals or persons.
• Make sure that the air outlet is not covered or clogged.
• Burn hazard! Do not touch the hot-air nozzle.
• Do not leave the product unattended when in use.
• Be cautious around gases and fumes which may be produced when processing plastics, paints, etc.
• Wear protective eye wear.
• Do not use the product in combination with chemical solvents.
• Do not carry the device by the cable.
• Keepthecableawayfromthehotairow.
• If you use an extension cable, make sure that it is heat resistant.
• Do not use the product above or in close proximity to water.
• Neverpourliquidsovertheproduct.Thereisdangerofreoralife-threateningelectricshock.However,
if liquid does come into contact with the product, immediately separate the mains plug from the outlet
and consult an expert!
• Before you clean the product, turn it off, disconnect the plug from the wall socket and let it cool down
sufciently.
• Live components may be exposed if covers are opened or components are removed. The device must
therefore be disconnected from all power sources and connections before any servicing or repair work is
carriedout.Capacitorsinsidethedevicemaystillcarryavoltageevenaftertheyhavebeendisconnected
fromthepowersupply.Repairworkmustonlybedonebyqualiedtechnicianswhoarefamiliarwiththe
potential hazards and the relevant regulations.
• For installations in industrial facilities, follow the accident prevention regulations for electrical systems
and equipment of the government safety organization or the corresponding authority for your country.
• The mains outlet must be located near to the device and be easily accessible.
• Never unplug the mains plug by pulling on the cable. Always use the grips on the plug.
• Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket if you do not plan to use the device for an extended period
of time.
• For safety reasons, unplug the mains plug from the mains socket during thunderstorms.
