11. Operation
Refer to the instructions in “10. Inserting, removing and using the attachments” on page 28.
a) Using the multi-cooker
• Place the base station (2) on a dry, horizontal and sturdy surface (e.g. a kitchen worktop) near to a wall-mounted
mains socket. Ensure that the suction feet (7) on the bottom of the base station attach themselves to the surface.
• Place the required attachments onto the multi-cooker. For more information, see “10. Inserting, removing and using
the attachments” on page 28.
• Fill the mixing jug to at least the 0.5 L marking (no more than the MAX 2.0 L level). If you want to steam food, place
the food into the steamer.
• Place the mixing jug (with the lid on) onto the base station and lock them together.
• Fully unwind the mains cable (6) and insert the mains plug into a wall-mounted socket.
• Switch the multi-cooker on by moving the on/off switch (5) to the I position.
• You will hear a beep and the LCD display (3) will turn on. The multi-cooker is now ready to use.
• Chooseapresetcookingmode,orcongurethecookingsettingsmanually.
• Press the START/PAUSE button (E) to start the cooking process. The selected cooking program will be indicated
byaashingsymbolontheLCDdisplay: for heating//cooking/steaming and for stirring/chopping/mixing/
blending/whisking.
Press the START/PAUSE button to pause the cooking process, and then press it again to resume cooking.
Press the STOPP (stop) button (D) to end the selected program.
• Themulti-cookerwillbeep10timeswhentheselectedprogramhasnished,orwhenthetimergoesoff.
• The fan will turn on to cool the motor.
• After the fan has turned itself off, move the on/off switch (5) to the O position to turn the multi-cooker off, and then
unplug the multi-cooker from the mains.
When chopping harder foods, hold down the TURBO button (F) for 10 seconds to make the multi-cooker
operate at maximum speed. Only use the turbo function in short bursts. The turbo function is not available
for cooking programs.
b) Weighing food
• Place the mixing jug (with the lid on and without the measuring cup) onto the base station (2) and lock them
together.
• Press the WAAGE (weigh) button (G). The symbolwillash.Waituntilzeroisshownonthedisplay.
• Placethefoodthatyouwanttoweighontothelid,orplaceitintothemixingjugviatherellopening(16).TheLCD
display (3) will display the weight in grams.
• To reset the scales to zero, hold down the WAAGE (weigh) button for a few seconds. You will hear a beep to
indicate that the scales have been reset to zero.
