15. Backlight
• Press the LIGHT button to turn on the watch backlight for a few seconds.
16. Restoring factory settings
• To restore factory settings, hold down the SET and SEL buttons.
17. Care and cleaning
• Repair or maintenance work must only be carried out by a specialist or a repair centre.
Under no circumstances should you service any of the components in the interior of the
product (apart from the the batteries). Never attempt to open the product (apart from opening
the battery compartment to insert or change the battery as described in these operating
instructions).
• Never use aggressive detergents, rubbing alcohol or other chemical solutions, as these could
damage the casing or even impair the functioning of the product.
• Do not immerse the product in water.
• Use a slightly damp, lint-free cloth to clean the exterior of the product. Dust can be removed
easily using a soft and clean long-haired brush and a vacuum cleaner. Only use a small
amount of water.
Do not press too hard on the display, as this can lead to scratch marks or damage
the display
• Regularly clean the contacts and the chest strap using a slightly damp cloth (use lukewarm
water).Onceyouhavenishedcleaningthestrap,carefullywipeitdry.
18. Water and impact resistance
The watch is impact resistant for normal use. However, it should not be subjected to extreme
impacts(e.g.fallingontoahardoor),asthismaydamagetheproduct.
The "3 ATM" (or "30 m") marking indicates that the watch is suitable for everyday use (e.g. hand
washing or car washing). It is also splashproof and protected against sweat.
It is not a diving watch (i.e. a watch that is waterproof to 30 m).
Do not touch the watch buttons when the watch is wet.
