b) Juicing
Do not use the juice for more than three minutes at a time. After that, let it cool down for at least
seven minutes. Longer operating times can damage the motor.
Onlyusetheprovidedpusher(1).Keepngersandkitchenutensilsawayfromrotatingparts.
The juicer features a safety switch. The juicer can only be switched on if the cover (4) and the locking
arm (13) are properly installed. When juicing, make sure the cover is properly installed on the motor
assembly and the locking arm is properly installed on the cover. Never release the locking arm when the
product is switched on.
Clean fruits/vegetables and, ifnecessary, cut them into smaller pieces. Refer to “c)Tipsand notes” for more
information about suitable food.
Removethepusherfromthefeederchute.
Turn the rotary control (16) to 1 for soft fruit/vegetables (low speed), or to 2 for harder fruits/vegetables (high speed).
Add the fruits or vegetables through the feeder chute.
Insertthepusherintothefeederchute.Thepushercanonlybeinsertedoneway.Makesuretherecessofthe
pusherisperfectlyalignedwiththelugofthellinghole.
Push down the pusher slowly and with little pressure in order to generate as much juice as possible. Too much
pressure can cause the centrifugal screen to stop and damage the juicer.
Turn the rotary control to 0 before adding more fruits/vegetables. Otherwise fruits/vegetables could spurt out.
Alwaysobservethellinglevelofbothcontainersinordertoavoidoverowing.
Anoverlledpulpcollectorcancausethecentrifugalscreentostop.
If the pulp collector/ juice container is full, turn the rotary control to 0andreleasethelockingarm.Removethe
cover, centrifugal screen and centrifugal screen holder from the motor assembly. Removethepulpcollectorfrom
the collector mount and empty the collector.
After juicing, turn the rotary control to 0. Disconnect the mains plug from the wall socket.
Serve the juice immediately.
c) Tips and notes
Always juice fresh fruits/vegetables, since they contain more juice. Pineapples, celery, apples, cucumbers, carrots,
spinach, melons, tomatoes and most of the citrus fruits are especially suitable for juicing.
Starchyfruitssuchasavocados,bananas,mangos,papayasorsimilar,orbrousorhardfruitsandvegetables
such as sugar cane or similar are not suitable for juicing.
Leafyvegetablessuchasspinachorcabbageshouldberolledupbeforeputtingthemintothellinghole.
Removenon-edibleskin(pineapple,oranges,redbeets,etc.).Pleasekeepinmindthatthickskincandamagethe
juicer.Removethewhiteskinpartsfromcitrusfruits,asthosewilladdabittertaste.
Removestonesorlargepips(cherries,peaches,etc.)inordertopreventdamagetothecentrifugalscreen.
Whenjuicingconicalfruits/vegetables,suchascarrots,alwaysinsertthepointedendrstintothefeederchute.
You should drink the juice immediately after juicing. That way, vitamins are preserved.
Apple juice turns brown very fast. Drink it immediately after juicing or add a few drops of lemon juice in order to slow
down the process of discoloration.
When preparing apple juice, keep in mind that the consistency and taste will vary according to the type of apple.
Thoroughly wash fruits/vegetables to be juiced.
