c) Persons and Product
• Heat emitted by the pan may cause the ceramic surface of the hob to become hot. This
constitutes a re hazard!
• Caution: The surface of the hob will remain hot for while after it is switched off. Do not touch
the hob during this time!
• Do not use the hob near open ames or sources of moisture (e.g. a sink).
• Do not place the hob on unstable or uneven surfaces.
• Do not touch the induction hob when there is a pan on the surface.
• Do not place any pans or cooking utensils on the control panel.
• Do not attempt to heat any empty pans or cooking utensils on the induction hob. The induction
hob will turn itself off when an empty pan is placed on the surface, but this does not eliminate
the risk of damage to the pan and/or hob.
• Never leave the hob unattended during use.
• Do not use the product in conjunction with a timer, a remote switch (e.g. remote switch socket)
or other devices that automatically switch on the product.
• Never use the hob near or under curtains, wall cupboards or other sensitive materials.
• If you have a pacemaker, consult a physician before using the hob, as it may interfere with
your pacemaker.
• Do not place any metal objects (e.g. knives, forks, spoons, or aluminium tins) onto the
induction plate.
• Do not place any paper or cling lm between the surface of the induction plate and the bottom
of the pan.
• Discontinue use if the ceramic plate is split, cracked, or broken.
• Do not cover or block any of the air vents on the hob.
• Do not touch the ceramic plate immediately after removing a hot pan, as the surface of the
hob will still be hot.
• Do not place any electronic devices on the surface of the hob when the hob is switched on.
The hob generates a strong magnetic eld, which may damage electronic devices.
• Ensure that the hob is placed well away from objects that react to magnetic elds (e.g. credit
cards, cassettes, TVs and radios).
• Caution! Food (in particular fatty and oily food) may catch re if the temperature is too high.

Suitable pans
• Only use pans that are suitable for use with an induction hob, such as stainless steel pans with a
ferromagnetic surface, cast iron pans or enamelled steel pans. The bottom of the pan must be at.
• Heatproof glass containers, ceramic pots and copper cookware are not suitable.
• The diameter of the pan base must be at least 12 cm.
• To test whether your pan is suitable, hold a magnet against the bottom of the pan. If the magnet attaches
itself to the pan, then the pan can be used on the hob.
• Only use pans with a at surface. The bottom of the pan should be at least 2 mm thick. Only use pans that
are 12-26 cm in diameter.
• The hob will display an error message when unsuitable pans are placed on the heating plate (see
"Troubleshooting and error messages"). Pans with a non-stick coating may be damaged if the temperature
is too high. Adjust the temperature using the control wheel and refer to the instructions that came with
your pan.
• The heating plate can take a load of up to 4 kg.
Setup
Do not expose the hob to vibrations, dust, alkaline solutions, hot and cold temperatures,
or damp environments. In addition, no powerful transformers or motors should be used
close to the product.
Never place the product in direct proximity of heat sources. Do not point any strong
spotlights or light sources at the hob, as this may cause it to overheat! Keep the hob well
away from walls and large objects to prevent the vents from becoming blocked.
Warning: Do not place the hob on top of the mains cable, as this may damage the cable
insulation.
• Place the induction hob on a level surface. The hob must only be used on a level, non-metal surface away
from splashing liquids, heat, and steam.
• Do not place paper, tablecloths or other ammable materials under the hob.
• Ensure that there is sufcient ventilation around the hob. Do not place any objects under the product
that may prevent air from owing through the air vents. Air must be able to circulate freely under the hob.
Ensure that the hob is at least 10 cm away from walls and other objects.
Do not build the hob into a work surface.
Operation
• Before using the hob for the rst time, remove any residual packaging and wipe it clean with a damp cloth.
• Place a suitable pan (containing food) onto the centre of the ceramic heating plate (4).
• Connect the mains plug (2) to a standard mains socket. The LED display (B) will briey display all symbols,
and then a line will appear across the the display. All three W Time °C LEDs will ash briey and the
backlight on the control wheel (C) will turn on.
• You will hear a beep each time you press a button or change a setting on the display.
• Press the ON/OFF button (D). ON will appear on the LED display (B).
• Select a menu option (power setting/timer/temperature) using the Function button (A). For more
information, see "Using the control panel".
A short beep will be played continuously if you take the pan off the ceramic heating plate (4)
when the hob is switched on, and E0 will be shown on the display. Place the pan back onto the
hob as quickly as possible. If you do not place the pan back onto the hob within a few seconds,
the hob will turn off automatically, and you will need to turn the hob back on.
• Press the ON/OFF button to turn the hob off. The fan will continue to operate to cool the hob to a safe
temperature. Wait until the hob has cooled down before touching it. The temperature switch automatically
switches the fan off once the hob has reached a safe temperature. Unplug the mains plug (2) from the
mains socket.
• Always unplug the mains cable after use or in the event of a fault.
Using the control panel
Please note that you may need to press a button more than once before the hob responds. You
will hear a beep once the hob has registered your command.
a) Adjusting the power output
• Press the function button (A) once to change the power output. The W LED indicator will turn on. The
maximum power output (2000 W) will appear on the LED display (8). Select the desired power output (in
Watts) by turning the control wheel (C). You can adjust the power from 200–2000 W. Turn the control wheel
clockwise (+) to increase the power output, or anticlockwise (-) to decrease the power output.
b) Setting the timer (with preset power setting)
• Press the function button (A) twice to set the countdown timer. The W and Time LEDs will turn on. The
minimum timer setting (0:00) will appear on the LED display (8).
• Select the desired cooking time (countdown timer) by turning the control wheel (C). Turn the control wheel
clockwise (+) to increase the time, anticlockwise (-) to decrease the time. If the current setting is 0:00,
turning the control wheel anticlockwise will change the setting to the maximum duration (3:00). You can
choose a time from 0 to 3 hours (0:00 to 3:00).
• The heating plate will stay on at the preset power setting, and then turn off automatically once the preset
time has elapsed. When the timer is on, the display will switch between the power setting and the remaining
time. When the hob turns off, the line will appear again across the centre of the display to indicate that the
time has elapsed and that the hob is switched off.
c) Setting the temperature
• Press the function button (A) three times to adjust the temperature in °C. The °C LED will turn on. The
maximum temperature setting (240) will appear on the LED display.
• Select the desired temperature by turning the control wheel (C). You can adjust the temperature from 80 -
240 °C. Turn the control wheel clockwise (+) to increase the temperature, or anticlockwise (-) to decrease
the temperature.
d) Setting the timer (with constant preset temperature)
• Press the function button (A) to set the timer (while keeping the temperature constant). The Time and °C
LEDs will turn on.
• Adjust the time as desired. When the timer is on, the display will switch between the preset temperature
and the remaining time.
• The heating plate will stay on at the preset temperature, and then turn off automatically once the preset
time has elapsed. When the hob turns off, the line will appear again across the centre of the display to
indicate that the time has elapsed and that the hob is switched off.
