• The hob is suitable for use in households and other
similar environments, such as staff kitchens in shops,
ofces, or other work spaces,
- agricultural businesses,
- guest rooms in hotels, motels and other
accommodation,
- bed and breakfast accommodation.
General safety instructions
Read the operating instructions carefully and especially observe the safety information.
If you do not follow the safety instructions and information on proper handling in this
manual, we assume no liability for any resulting personal injury or damage to property.
Such cases will invalidate the warranty/guarantee.
a) General information
• The device is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children and pets.
• Do not leave packaging material lying around carelessly. This may become dangerous playing
material for children.
• Protect the product from extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, strong jolts, high humidity,
moisture, ammable gases, vapours and solvents.
• Do not place the product under any mechanical stress.
• If it is no longer possible to operate the product safely, take it out of operation and protect it
from any accidental use. Safe operation can no longer be guaranteed if the product:
- is visibly damaged,
- is no longer working properly,
- has been stored for extended periods in poor ambient conditions or
- has been subjected to any serious transport-related stresses.
• Please handle the product carefully. Jolts, impacts or a fall even from a low height can damage
the product.
• Consult an expert when in doubt about the operation, safety or connection of the device.
• Maintenance, modications and repairs are to be performed exclusively by an expert or at a
qualied shop.
• If you have questions which remain unanswered by these operating instructions, contact our
technical support service or other technical personnel.
b) Electrical safety
• Exercise particular caution in the presence of children. Children may not understand the
dangers associated with incorrectly handling electrical devices. For example, they may
attempt to insert objects into the air vents on the hob, which could cause a fatal electric shock!
There is also a high risk of injury and burns due to hot surfaces!
• Never touch or operate the product if your hands are moist or wet, otherwise there is a risk
of a fatal electric shock!
• Fully unwind the mains cable before use. A mains cable that is not fully unwound can lead to
overheating, which constitutes a re hazard!
• Do not put any objects into the openings on the product, as this could result in an electric
shock or damage the product.
• Before connecting to the mains, make sure that your local AC mains voltage matches the
specications on the nameplate.
• The device was constructed according to protection class I. Only use a standard earthed
mains socket (230 V/AC, 50 Hz) connected to the public grid as a power source.
• Never pour any liquids over electrical devices or put objects lled with liquid right next to the
device. If liquid or an object enters the interior of the device nevertheless, rst power down the
respective socket (e.g. switch off circuit breaker) and then pull the mains plug from the mains
socket. Discontinue use and take the product to a specialist repair centre.
• Never use the product immediately after it has been brought from a cold room into a warm
one. The condensation generated could destroy the product. Allow the product to reach room
temperature before connecting it to the power supply and putting it to use. This may take
several hours.
• The mains outlet must be located near to the device and be easily accessible.
• Never pull the mains plug from the socket by pulling at the cable. Always pull it from the mains
socket using the intended grips.
• Unplug the mains plug from the mains socket if you do not use the device for an extended
period of time.
• Disconnect the mains plug from the mains socket in thunderstorms for reasons of safety.
• Do not touch the mains cable if it is damaged. First, power down the respective mains socket
(e.g. via the respective circuit breaker) and then carefully pull the mains plug from the mains
socket. Never use the product if the mains cable is damaged.
• A damaged mains cable may only be replaced by the manufacturer, a workshop commissioned
by the manufacturer or a similarly qualied person, so as to prevent any danger.
• Never plug in or unplug the mains plug when your hands are wet.
• When setting up the product, make sure that the cable is not pinched, kinked or damaged
by sharp edges.
• Avoid excessive thermal stress on the mains cable from extreme heat or cold.
• Do not let the mains cable hang over the edge of the surface on which the hob is placed. The
mains cable must not come into contact with the hot parts of the hob!
• Do not use extension cables, power strips or any other ballasts. Only connect the mains plug
to a wall-mounted mains socket.
• Do not connect the hob to an extension socket.
• Do not wind the cable around the hob.
• The product must always be grounded at the wall socket during use.

Induction hob

Intended use
This electrical induction hob is designed for heating and cooking food in a suitable pan. It features a timer that
switches the hob off automatically after the preset time. The temperature and power setting can be adjusted
using a control wheel. The induction hob is protected against overheating, overvoltage and short circuits.
It is intended for indoor use only. Do not use it outdoors. Contact with moisture, e.g. in bathrooms, must be
avoided under all circumstances.
For safety and approval purposes, you must not rebuild and/or modify this product. If you use the product
for purposes other than those described above, the product may be damaged. In addition, improper use can
cause hazards such as short circuiting, re, electric shock etc. Read the instructions carefully and keep them.
Make this product available to third parties only together with its operating instructions.

All metal parts that could carry a voltage in the event of a fault during operation and maintenance
must be connected to the protective earth conductor.
Caution: The surface of the hob will remain hot for while after it is switched off. Do not touch the
hob during this time!
Important safety information
• This appliance can be used by children over 8 years
of age and persons with reduced physical, sensory or
mental capabilities if they have been given supervision
or instruction concerning safe use of the appliance and
understand the potential hazards.
• Children must not play with the device.
• Children should not clean or service the device unless
they are over 8 years old and supervised by an adult.
• Keep the hob and the mains cable out of the reach of
children under 8 years of age.
• WARNING - If the ceramic cover on the heating plate
is broken, turn off the hob to prevent the risk of an
electric shock.
• WARNING– hot surfaces. Some parts of this product
can become very hot and may cause burns. Exercise
caution when children and vulnerable people are
present.
