•  Do not point the hot  air ow at  ammable objects (e.g.  gas cylinders). Keep away from  sources of 
ignition. Do not smoke. Children are not permitted to handle or operate the device.
f)  Risk of material damage
ATTENTION!
There is a risk of material damage to the device in the event of improper use! You must observe 
the following safety information:
•  Protect the device from long-term exposure to the sun and frost.
•  Dry wood, leaves, pine needles and dry grass can catch re. Observe the treated plants for some time 
after treatment. There remains a risk of the plants igniting and catching re some time after treatment. 
Fight res, if safe, with a re extinguisher.
g) Other potential damage
ATTENTION!
There is a risk of material damage during operation in the event of improper use! You must 
observe the following safety information:
•  Do not point the device at the same spot for an extended period of time. Switch the device on for a 
maximum of 30 seconds, then allow it to cool for at least 10 seconds.
•  When working with the device, be aware that the heat given off by the device can be conveyed to and 
cause damage to hidden ammable materials.
•  The device must not be left unattended when in an operational state.
•  Keep all body parts, clothing, the extension cable and other objects away from the heating element (3), 
heat shield (2) and conical nozzle (1). Do not touch any of the aforementioned surfaces until they have 
cooled fully. There is a risk of burns!
•  Always transport the device at the handle and only when the heat shield and conical nozzle have cooled.
•  Hold this electrical tool at the insulated handle surfaces only, as the heat shield (including conical nozzle) 
may come into contact with power lines (e.g. from a garden lamp) or your own extension cable and 
become live. In such cases there is a danger of death from electric shock!
•  Keep the extension cable away from the heat shield (including conical nozzle).
•  Wear suitable protective clothing and personal protective equipment (PPE), e.g. safety shoes.
