f) Setting the volume for the speaker in the handset
Thevolumeforthespeakerinthehandsetcanbesetinseverallevels.Brieypushthe" " button (9) to reduce the
volume or the " " button (5) to increase the volume.
g) Reconnect via safety code
The handset has already been signed on to the indoor unit by the manufacturer via DECT. You can, how-
ever, also repeat this yourself.
• Remove the rubber cover (30) on the rear of the indoor unit.
A button is visible inside the device. Keep this button pushed, e.g. with a thin plastic pen (do not use any metal part,
dangerofshortcircuit!)forthedurationofatleast5seconds,untiltheLED"SIGNAL"(27)ashesslowly.Release
the button again.
• Keep the " " button (8) on the handset pushed for at least 5 seconds until the LED "SIGNAL" (27) on the indoor
unitstopsashing.
• The two devices now have the same safety code and are ready for operation.
• Insert the rubber cover (30) again.
h) Deleting the safety code of the indoor unit
This process is usually not required or only for the manufacturer. However, it the handset cannot be logged
on as described in chapter 9. g), delete the safety code in the indoor unit.
The safety code is deleted, so that the indoor unit will no longer react to the handset.
Then you need to register the handset; see chapter 9. g).
