9. Operation
If you have put the products next to each other for testing (and if you have wired the devices accordingly)
or if you operate the handset near the outdoor unit, observe that there may be loud feedback loop sounds
via the microphone and speaker in this case.
This is normal.
Just keep a distance of several metres between the outdoor unit and the mobile unit to avoid such feedback
loops while testing. Alternatively, you can temporarily tape several pieces of isolation tape over the micro-
phone and speaker openings.
a) Visitor Rings at the Outdoor Unit
• If a visitor pushes the bell button (23) on the outdoor unit, the LED (22) will light up. The handset emits a ring tone
and the LED (1) and the LED in the " "button(12)willash.TheLED"SIGNAL"(27)ontheindoorunitwillash.
• Totalktothevisitor,takethehandsetfromthechargingtray.Thenbrieypushthe" " button (12). You can now
talk to the visitor as on a phone.
• Toactivatethedooropener,brieypushthe" " button (4). The door opener is then activated for a few seconds
(duration cannot be changed).
• Toterminatethetalk,brieypushthe" " button (12).
b) Operating Door Opener
You can only activate the door opener after a visitor has rung the bell; see chapter 9. a).
c) Select ring tone
Brieypressthe" " button (7) repeatedly to select a ring tone.
d) Setting the volume for the ring tone
Thevolumeoftheringtonecanbesetinseverallevels.Brieypushthe" " button (6) to reduce the volume or the
" " button (13) to increase the volume.
e) Mute switch
The ring tone of the handset can be muted, e.g. at night.
Keep the " " button (14) pushed for approx. one second for muting or unmuting. When muting is activated, the
LED (3) will be lit.
