8. Commissioning
• Plug the mains adapter that is connected to the indoor unit into a mains socket. The red LED "POWER" (28) and
the blue LED (27) on the indoor unit will light up.
• Put the charging tray onto a horizontal, stable surface. Protect expensive furniture surfaces from impressions and
scratches and discolouration with suitable pads.
• Connect the charging tray via the enclosed mains adapter (with mini-USB-plug).
• Plug the mains adapter of the charging tray into a mains socket.
• Open the battery compartment on the rear of the handset by pushing the battery compartment lid out downwards.
• Connect the Li-ion rechargeable battery to the connection in the battery compartment. Close the battery compart-
ment again.
Whenconnecting,ensureproperpolarity;theplugwillonlytinonedirection.Donotuseanyforcefor
connection.
• TheLED(2)shouldnowashonthefrontofthemobileunitandremainlitafterabrieftime.Thisshowsthatthe
handset has found the signal from the indoor unit and that it has connected to the indoor unit.
The handset has already been signed on to the indoor unit by the manufacturer via DECT. You can, how-
ever, also repeat this yourself. Observe chapter 9 for this.
Ifyouhaveanyproblemswithregistering,alwaysproceedasdescribed-rsttaketheoutdoor/indoorunit
into operation, and only then connect the rechargeable battery to the handset. When using the reverse
order,itispossiblethattheindoorunitdoesnotndthehandset.
• If there is a transparent protective foil on the front of the handset, remove it now carefully.
• Put the handset into the charging tray. The LED (11) lights up.
Therechargeablebatteryisatornearlyatatdelivery/initialcommissioning.Therefore,leavethehandset
inthechargingtrayforatleast1hour,sothattherechargeablebatterycanbechargedsufcientlyfora
functiontestoftheproduct.Iftherechargeablebatteryiscompletelyat,chargingwilltake5hours.
