• Whenlayingthecablebetween thedisplay unitand thesensor,protect itagainst sharp
edgesanddonotcompressorbendit.Secureloosepartsofthecablewithcableclamps
orcableties.
• Inordertoensurethattheairtemperatureismeasuredasaccuratelyaspossible,theoutdoor
sensormustbemountedinafreelyaccessiblelocationwithsufcientaircirculation.
• Securethethermometerinplaceusingascrew(notincluded)thatprotrudesafewmillimetres
fromthewall.Then hangthe thermometeron thescrewusingthehook (6).Handle the
thermometerwithcarewhenhangingitonthewall.
Ensurethatnoexistingcablesorpipes(includingwaterpipes)aredamagedwhen
drillingmountingholesorsecuringscrews.
• Thethermometercanalsobeplacedonalevel,stableandsufcientlylargesurfaceusing
thestand(11).Asuitablematshouldbeusedtopreventscratchmarksonthesurfaceof
valuablefurniture.
• Foldoutthestandandplacethethermometeronasuitablesurface.
Operation
a) Temperature
The current indoor temperature (5) and the maximum and minimum values (7 & 8) are
displayedafterinsertingthebatteryintothethermometer.Thecurrentoutdoortemperature(4)
andthemaximumandminimumvalues(9&10)aredisplayedonthethermometershortlyafter
mountingtheoutdoorsensor.
b) Selecting the temperature unit
Toselectthetemperatureunit,pressthe°C/°F button(3).Theunitchanges.Pressingthe
buttonagainchangesitback.YoucanchoosebetweenCelsiusandFahrenheit.
c) Resetting the LCD display
ResettheLCDifitdoesnotdisplayproperly.Toresetthedisplay,removethebattery.Waitfor
afewsecondsandtheninsertitbackintothedisplayunit.
d) Displaying and deleting max/min values
• Themaximumand minimumvalues for theindoor andoutdoortemperatures areshown
constantlyonthedisplay(indoor=6&7,outdoor=9&10).Themin (minimumtemperature)
andmax (maximumtemperature)symbolsaredisplayedtogetherwiththecorresponding
values.
• Todeletethesavedindoortemperaturevalues,presstheINbutton(2).
• To delete the saved outdoor temperature values, press the OUT button (1).
Removingandreplacingthebatteryalsodeletesthesavedvaluesandresetstheproduct
(see"ResettingtheLCDdisplay").
Care and cleaning
• Beforecleaningtheproduct,removethebatterytodisconnecttheproductfromthepower
supply.
• Neveruseaggressivedetergents,rubbingalcoholorotherchemicalsolutions,asthesecould
damagethecasingorevenimpairthefunctioningoftheproduct.
• Useadry,lint-freeclothtocleantheproduct.
• Cleantheoutdoorsensorandthesensorcablewithaslightlydampcloth.
Disposal
a) Product
Electronic devices are recyclable waste and must not be disposed of in the
householdwaste.Attheendofitsservicelife,disposeoftheproductaccordingto
therelevantstatutoryregulations.
Removethebattery(ifapplicable)anddisposeofitseparatelyfromtheproduct.
b) Batteries
Youas the enduser arerequiredby law(BatteryOrdinance) toreturnall used
batteries/rechargeable batteries. Disposing of them in the household waste is
prohibited.
Batteries that contain hazardous substances are labelled with this symbol to
indicatethatdisposalinthedomesticwasteisforbidden.Thedesignationsforthe
heavymetalsinvolvedare:Cd=Cadmium,Hg=Mercury,Pb=Lead(nameon
(rechargeable)batteries,e.g.belowthetrashiconontheleft).
Usedbatteriescanbereturnedtocollectionpointsinyourmunicipality,ourstoresorwherever
batteriesaresold.
Youthusfullyourstatutoryobligationsandcontributetotheprotectionoftheenvironment.
