Choosing a Location for the Gateway Radio Enclosure
The location of the Ethernet radio unit has a significant impact on its performance. In practice,
the radio unit should be placed away from computers, telephones, answering machines, and
other similar equipment. The location for the Gateway radio enclosure must have the following
attributes:
Proximity and access to a live Ethernet jack
  Access to electrical power
A solid object on which to mount the enclosure
  Out of direct sunlight
Mount the Enclosure
1. Drill pilot holes for the mounting screws.
2. Mount the enclosure with #10 or larger screws.
Check the Antenna Connector on the Radio Unit
1. Open the enclosure door.
2. Locate the antenna cable where it is connected to the radio unit.
3. Verify that the connection is secure.

Materials and Tools
Hardware (wall anchors, screws, etc.) for mounting the enclosure to the wall
Tools as needed for wall mounting hardware (drill, screwdriver, pliers, marker, tape
measure, level, etc.)
Electrical power connection hardware (½” conduit, wire, wire nuts, etc.) and tools as
needed.
IMPORTANT! Make sure the antenna cable remains
securely attached to the connector on the Ethernet
radio. If the radio is powered up with a loose or
disconnected antenna, damage may occur to the
circuitry. This damage is not covered by warranty.
