5.2 Installation and connection
CAUTION!
The installation and maintenance of the appliance should only be carried out by
trained personnel!
• Discard the complete packing material after unpacking the device.
• Carefully remove the protective foil from internal surfaces to avoid leaving any
adhesive tape. If any adhesive tape does remain stuck, remove it using an
appropriate agent.
• Place the device on top of an even and safe surface which supports the weight of the
device and is not heat sensitive.
• Not at any time should you place the device on an inflammable surface (such as:
table cloth, carpet, etc.).
• You must not position the device near open fireplaces, electric ovens/arc furnaces,
furnaces/electric heaters or other heat sources.
• Do not place the unit near walls or other objects made of flammable materials. Keep
a minimum distance of 20 cm on all sides of the unit.
• The unit is equipped with adjustable legs to help it rest evenly. They should be used to
place the unit in a level position.
• Place the unit in a well-ventilated area.
• Place the unit under a kitchen hood to remove steam and odours.
• Never cover the pizza oven with towels or cloths, do not hang any objects on the unit.
• The unit can be installed separately or in a series along with other units.
• The electrical circuit in the socket must be secured to at least 16A. Only connect the
unit directly to the wall socket; do not use any extension cords or power strips.
• Position the device in a way so that the power plug is always accessible.
5.3 Operating
• Clean the unit prior to first use (see 6.2 Cleaning).
• Connect the unit to an appropriate single-plug outlet.
• Prior to placing food in the unit, turn it on at maximum power for approx. 20-30 minutes
in a very well ventilated area.
• To turn the unit on, turn the time regulator clockwise to a position between 0 and 15
minutes. When the orange control light comes on, the unit is turned on and working.
• If the unit is to work for an extended time, turn the time regulator to the left, to the ON
position. Then the time can be set properly prior to baking.
