o If it is not possible at that exact moment to clean the unit, it is still possible to make
several more pots of coffee before the coffee machine is cleaned.
o For cleaning of deposits from the unit we recommend using the Bartscher „Fast
Scale Remover“ formula for cleaning deposits, tried and proven by us.
(Art. no.: 190.063; (Package: 20 portions of 15 g/each)
o Cleaning should be performed in the following manner:
 Dissolve the contents of a portion (15 g) in approx. 1-2 litres of water.
 Pour the solution containing the formula into the coffee machine's water
container.
 Insert the filter basket (without coffee).
 Place the empty thermos (without pump tube) on the lower plate, under the filter
basket.
 Switch the main ON/OFF switch as during normal operation.
 After a small amount of the solution has dripped into the thermos turn the unit off.
 Wait 5-6 minutes for the remaining portion of the solution to dissolve the calcium
deposits then turn the unit on again.
 When the entire solution has run through the unit, turn it off and pour out the
solution.
 Water remaining in the coffee machine should be removed via the water release
screws (10) located at the back of the unit (on the bottom).
 After the deposit cleaning process it is necessary to repeat the brewing process 2-
3 times in accordance with the instructions in part 5.3 „Preparation of coffee“
using only water.
 Rinse the thermos thoroughly several times with warm water.
 The unit is again ready to brew coffee.
 Wash hands thoroughly after cleaning the unit of deposits.

Do not leave the unit unattended during the deposit cleaning process!
Use protective gloves and eyewear during the deposit cleaning process!
