1. ASSEMBLING THE DETECTOR Assembling the detector is easy and requires no special tools. Just follow the steps as below: • Always remove old or weak battery; battery can leak chemicals that can destroy electronic parts. • If you do not plan to use the detector for a week or more, remove the battery. • Dispose of old battery promptly and properly. • Turn the stem’s lock nut clockwise until it loosens. 3.
FUNCTIONS AND INDICATORS TESTING AND USING THE DETECTOR QUICK LOOK AT THE DETECTOR This metal detector has two operation modes: ALL METAL & DISC. ALL METAL - is used to find all kinds of metal targets. DISC - Is used to discriminate the metal type. 1. To set the operation mode to ALL METAL: turn SENS knob to high position and turn ELIMINATOR knob counter clockwise to MIN level. 1. ELIMINATOR—rotate the control clockwise away from ALL METAL to get DISC mode. The DISC mode comes with auto ground balance.
Wrong Correct 6. Meantime slowly rotate the ELIMINATOR control clockwise away from ALL METAL until the unit does not sound or sounds short tone. You can identify what kind of metal is REJECTED according to the setting position of ELIMINATOR. A reference for you to know what kind of metal is rejected depending on the ELIMINATOR setting.

Handle the detector gently and carefully. Dropping it can damage circuit boards and can cause the detector to work improperly. Use the detector only in normal temperature environments. Temperature extremes can shorten the life of electronic devices, causing internal damage to the detector.
