BARREL CONVERSION KIT USE OF THIS MANUAL Read this manual before you use or manipulate your Barrett product. It is important that you understand the principles of safe gun handling in general and the features of this product. This manual is not a substitute for training from a qualified instructor. Important safety topics are discussed in this chapter and throughout this manual. This manual should remain with the product and it should be transferred with the product to subsequent owners.

BARREL CONVERSION KIT WARRANTY AND SERVICE For one year from date of purchase, Barrett Firearms Manufacturing Inc. (BFMI), warrants to the original owner, that this product was manufactured free of defects in materials and workmanship. BFMI will correct any defect covered under the warranty by repair or replacement with the same or comparable model.
barrett.net Given that barrel conversion kits may be purchased within the same letter group, each barrel and bolt are marked with serial numbers. Every barrel and bolt are paired at the factory. BARREL CONVERSION KIT 2. Loosen the two barrel screws using a T-30 Torx wrench and remove the barrel from the upper receiver (FIGURE 3). FIGURE 3 3. With the searing edge firmly seated against a hard surface, pull downward on the bolt body to expose the two slots in the cocking piece (FIGURE 4). 4. Insert the bolt disassembly tool into the two slots to retain the cocking piece (FIGURE 4).
barrett.net 5. Carefully release the bolt body upward. Rotate the cocking piece shroud counter clockwise about 120 degrees and withdraw from the bolt body (FIGURE 5). COCKING PIECE SHROUD BOLT BODY B A FIGURE 5 WARNING DO NOT REMOVE THE BOLT DISASSEMBLY TOOL FROM THE COCKING PIECE WHILE THE FIRING PIN ASSEMBLY IS REMOVED FROM THE BOLT BODY. THE FIRING PIN SPRING IS UNDER HEAVY LOAD. 6. Using a punch or other pointed object, push the bolt pin out of the bolt body.
BARREL CONVERSION KIT 7. Reassemble bolt using bolt head that was included with matching barrel in barrel conversion kit. Assembly is in the reverse order of its removal. 8. Reinstall bolt assembly into the upper receiver and close upper to lower, leaving bolt open. 9. Insert the barrel from conversion kit into the upper receiver with indexing slot oriented in the up position ensuring the indexing slot engages the indexing pin in the upper receiver as the barrel is fully seated. 10.
