TROUBLESHOOTING (CAUTION: SHUT OFF POWER TO THE PUMP)
PROBLEMS
POSSIBLE CAUSES / SOLUTIONS
Pump does not
run or it hums
● Line circuit breaker is off, or fuse is burned out. Reset breaker or replace
fuse.
● Plug is disconnected. Secure the plug.
● Discharge shut-off valve (if used) may be closed.
● Impeller or volute openings are fully or partially clogged.
● Vertical pumping distance is too high. Reduce distance or change the
discharge fittings of the pump.
● Thermal overload. Unplug the pump for 30 minutes then plug in.
● Plug is corroded. Clean the plug prongs.
● GFCI outlet has failed. Replace outlet
● Motor failed. Call 1-844-251-7445
Pump cannot
pump water or
pumps very little
water
● Screen is blocked. Clean the screen
● Hose is kinked, bent sharply, or coiled. Straighten the hose.
● Hose diameter is too small. Use a larger diameter hose.
● Hose length is too long. Use a shorter hose.
● Impeller is loose on the shaft. Reassemble impeller.
● Impeller is broken. Call 1-844-251-7445
Fuse blows or
circuit breaker
trips when pump
starts
● Fuse or circuit breaker may be too small. Must be 15 amps
● Impeller or volute openings are fully or partially clogged. Remove pump
and clean
● Damaged seals. Replace seals. Call 1-844-251-7445 to order
