TROUBLESHOOTING (CAUTION: SHUT OFF POWER TO THE PUMP)
PROBLEMS
POSSIBLE CAUSES / SOLUTIONS
Pump does not
run or it hums
Line circuit breaker is off, or fuse is burned out. Reset breaker or replace
fuse.
Plug is disconnected. Secure the plug.
Discharge shut-off valve (if used) may be closed.
Impeller or volute openings are fully or partially clogged.
Vertical pumping distance is too high. Reduce distance or change the
discharge fittings of the pump.
Thermal overload. Unplug the pump for 30 minutes then plug in.
Plug is corroded. Clean the plug prongs.
GFCI outlet has failed. Replace outlet
Motor failed. Call 1-844-251-7445
Pump cannot
pump water or
pumps very little
water
Screen is blocked. Clean the screen
Hose is kinked, bent sharply, or coiled. Straighten the hose.
Hose diameter is too small. Use a larger diameter hose.
Hose length is too long. Use a shorter hose.
Impeller is loose on the shaft. Reassemble impeller.
Impeller is broken. Call 1-844-251-7445
Fuse blows or
circuit breaker
trips when pump
starts
Fuse or circuit breaker may be too small. Must be 15 amps
Impeller or volute openings are fully or partially clogged. Remove pump
and clean
Damaged seals. Replace seals. Call 1-844-251-7445 to order
