UNIVERSAL PEDESTAL FLOAT SWITCH
Instructions - Removal of old switch
Risk of electrical shock. Can burn or kill. To reduce risk of electrical shock, disconnect power supply before replacing switch. Make
sure switch is connected only to a properly grounded grounding type receptacle.
Short circuit electrical hazard. An incorrect connection may cause electric shock, or burn out the pump motor, resulting in property
damage or personal injury. Make sure all connections are correct before plugging the switch into the outlet.
The outlet voltage and pump voltage must match. Ensure voltage is correct before installing switch. The electrical outlet must be
installed outside the pump basin.
Risk of flooding. It is recommended to operate the pump through two or three complete cycles to ensure proper liquid level control.
Installation Instructions - Barracuda Pump Replacement
1. Disconnect the pump power cord plug from the electrical outlet.
2. Remove oat ball and pull oat rod through old switch eyelet.
3. Remove switch mounng screws from motor.
4. It is recommended to mark or note all the wires before removing. This informaon
is required for steps 7-13.
5. Disconnect all four wire leads from switch.
6. Do not remove ground wire (E).
7. Aach white power-in lead wire (A) to terminal (1).
8. Aach black power-in lead wire (C) to terminal (3).
9. Aach white motor lead wire (B) to terminal (2).
10. Aach black motor lead wire (D) to terminal (4).
11. Re-aach switch to the motor with the original screws or with the screws
provided.
12. Reaach oat rod, oat ball and grommet.
13. Check switch operaon by lling sump with water and observing operaon
through one complete cycle.

7. Aach white power-in lead wire (A) to terminal (1).
8. Aach black power-in lead wire (C) to terminal (3).
9. Aach included white - motor jumper wire (F) to terminal (2). Aach the
other end of the jumper wire (F) to one of the two pump terminals (H) located
on the pump.
10. Aach included black - motor jumper wire (G) to terminal (4). Aach the
other end of the jumper wire (F) to one of the two pump terminals (H) located
on the pump.
11. Re-aach switch to the motor with the original screws or with the screws
provided.
12. Reaach oat rod and oat ball.
13. Check switch operaon by lling sump with water and observing operaon
through one complete cycle.
