Service Availability
Use the following steps to verify the IMAP or POP3 service is available on the Exchange Server.
Log in to the Exchange Server as the Exchange Server Administrator.
Go to .All Programs > Microsoft Exchange Server > Exchange Management Console
In the Console tree, navigate to and click .Client Access
In the pane, click the tab:Work POP 3 and IMAP 4
Right-click on the desired service, for example, , and click .IMAP4 Properties
In the tab, verify the service is "ready" in the window:General Banner string
