2. Scroll to the bottom of the screen and tap Software. Your NOOK
opens the Software settings screen, which lists the version number
of the software release your NOOK is running.
Checking for the Availability of a New Software Update
NOTE: You must be connected to a Wi-Fi network to check for a new
software update and to install that update on your NOOK.
1. Open the Software settings screen, as described above.
2. Tap the Check for System Update button.
Your NOOK checks for the availability of a new software update. If one is
available, it begins downloading the update. Your NOOK automatically
installs the update after your device next goes to sleep.
