Viewing All Notes
To view all notes, do this:
1. Tap the page to display the Reading Tools.
2. Tap the Contents button.
3. Tap the Highlights & Notes tab.
This tab lists all your notes and highlights.
Making Notes Visible or Invisible
You can control whether or not your NOOK displays a Note icon next to any text about which you’ve written a note.
To make notes visible or invisible in the text, do this:
1. Tap the page to display the Reading Tools.
2. Tap the
Contents button.
3. Tap the
Highlights & Notes tab.
4. Tap the checkbox labeled
Show Notes & Highlights to change the display of note and highlights.
Leave the box checked to display notes and highlights. Leave it unchecked to hide notes and highlights.
Sharing a Quote
If you have linked your NOOK to Facebook, you can share quotations from the book you’re reading with your friends.
NOTE: You must have linked your NOOK to the primary profile’s Facebook account before you can use
this feature.
To share a quote, do this:
1. Tap the first or last word of the passage to highlight it.
Vertical bars appear at the beginning and end of the word.
2. Drag a vertical bar to the other end of the passage, highlighting all the words in the passage.
3. In the Text Selection Toolbar, tap the Share icon.
If you have not yet linked your NOOK to Facebook, a window opens with a login screen for Facebook.
Log in to your Facebook account, and click OK on the permission screen.
Your NOOK displays a form that lets you post the quote along with a message to your own wall.
You can type a message in the message field to accompany the quote.
4. When you are ready to post the quote and your message, tap post in the upper right corner of the screen.
