Overview The following drawing shows how to connect a ROSA PC and a C
OPERNICUS
server
to the S
TELLAR
in a remote control and management environment.
To connect the S
TELLAR
to the C
OPERNICUS
To enable remote communication between the S
TELLAR
decoder and the C
OPERNI
-
CUS
server, do the following:
1. Connect the COM port on the C
OPERNICUS
totheremoteconnectoronthe
S
TELLAR
.
The remote connector is placed on the connector panel of the S
TELLAR
and is
labelled RS-485. It is a 9-pin male Sub-D connector which connects to the RS-
485 port of the C
OPERNICUS
using a 9-way cable. The cable may be unshielded.
The following table shows the connector and the pin allocation.
2. Follow the instructions in the C
OPERNICUS
user manual.
