8.3.3 Power Box Swapping
How to swap the Power Box
1. Remove the power box cover (see "Power Box Access", page 26).
2. Loosen the forma
tter interface board (see "Input Box Swapping", page 31).
3. Proceed to the electrical disconnection of the power box:
- Disconnect plug J
304 on the formatter interface board. (image 8-8)
- Disconnect plugs J301, J409 and J419 on the backplane of the input box. (image 8-9)
- Disconnect plugs J505, J519 and J509 on the PMP board (image 8-8).
- Disconnect the plugs J23, J24 and J62 on the formatter power board. (image 8-10)
- Disconnect the FAN plugs on the SMPs control board. (image 8-11)
- Disconnect the lamp power plugs as follows: (image 8-12)
o
Remove the 2 screws secur
ing bracket onto the lamp power connectors.
o
Remove the bracket by tilting it fully to the right followed by pulling it upwards.
o
Pull out the lamp power plugs.
4. Proceed to the mechanical disconnection of the power box:
- Remove the 3 screws (C, D and E) securing the power box to the projector base frame. (image 8-13)
- Loosen the 2 captive screws (A and B) securing the power box to the projector base frame (image 8-13).
5. Move the power box upwards to remove.
