BG Composite IF Aux Input

1 DESCRIPTION

With the option Composite IF AUX input it is possible to switch to an alternate CIF source. This

source can be an IF backup or IF channel.

The input is ALC (automatic level controlled) referred to the vision carrier. The input level ranges

between +30 dBmV and +45 dBmV. (default = + 40 dBmV) Within that range a constant RF output is

maintained.

Manual gain control remains available by the front panel: e.g. scrambled signals.

External CompIF is only available if the Aux input is selected.

Together with the Audio/Video Auxiliary input and or the Audio SubCarrier

input, different combinations are possible. More information can be found in

the description of these options.

3 INSTALLATION

Please read this chapter carefully before installing the option.

The installation procedure is only necessary when ordering this option sepa-

rately. When ordering a P

ULSAR with Audio Subcarrier Input, the installation

has already been carried out during production.

For the right location of the boards, connectors and screws, refer to the layout diagram.

Before changing or removing anything in the P

ULSAR, remove the power cord

to switch off the power supply.
