4.2 Additional video related input
The HYDRA COMPACT is able to detect and process further video related information. This is in particular closed cap-
tion (CC), extended data structure (XDS), vertical interval time code (VITC), wide screen signaling (WSS) and
video index information coding (VLI), both with an option of the active format descriptor (AFD) and embedded
audio. Furthermore tallies and LTC can be processed.
4.2.1 Capability of the input cards
The above mentioned detection of video related information is not in the same way supported by all of the input
cards. Please see in the table below the abilities of the various input cards.
