6.7 Manage configuration files
About Manage configuration files
A full backup can be downloaded but cannot be us ed to duplicate configuration settings to other Base units. T herefore, it is pos sible
to download a Portable version. This portable version c an be uploaded via the upload configuration button on o ther Base units
(same type). Via the same button, the f ull backup can be uploaded on the original B ase Unit.
A portable bac kup contains:
• Wallpapers
• Wallpapers settings
• Logging settings
• All display settings
• OSD language
• Location
• Welcome message
• WiFi channel
• WiFi frequency
To m anage the configuration files
1. LogintotheConfigur ator.
2. Click Personalisation → Configuration F iles.

3. To download a full back up, click o n Full Backup .
An xml file, containing all information and history will be downloaded. This file can be r eused on the s ame Base Unit only.
4. To download a portable version, click on Portable Vers ion.
An xml file, containing portable information to duplicate settings on anoth er Base Unit.
5. To upload a configuration, click on Upload Configuration.
A browser window opens. Navigate to the upload file (xml file) a n d click Open to upload.
A full backup can be uploaded on the Base Unit w he re the b ackup was created and a portable version can be uploaded on any
other Base Unit o f the s ame m odel.
When uploading a config file, the history of software updates and paired B uttons is lost. Paired buttons w ill
however remain fun ctional if the Base U nit h as no t changed from SS ID or wireless password.
