3.6 Options for the OverView D series: lamps and color temperature filter
For the OverView D series, there are three different illumination unit which employ 2x100W lamp, 2x120W lamp,
2x200W lamp, respectively. All three of them produce "daylight" at a color temperature of 6500K.
A color filter is available to adjust the color temperature to 3200K.
Whereas all systems can be employed with an illumination unit with 100W or 120W respectively, it's only the
systems with XGA resolution which are available with an illumination unit 200W and a 3200K/6500K color filter
cartridge.
Please keep in mind that the 3200K color filter reduces the amount of light of about
50%. So it is not recommended to use it with 100W lamps, although it technically could
be done.
The ideal illumination unit to employ the 3200K color filter is the 200W illumination
unit.
This combination is usually intended for backdrop applications (broadcast).
