Flow Characteristics
When piped as a mixing valve, flow from either of the two inlet ports to the outlet is
approximately linear, which means that the total flow from the outlet is almost constant over
the stroke of the valve stem. See Figure-1 for typical flow characteristics of VB-8303 series
valve bodies.
When piped as a diverting valve, flow from the inlet port to either of the two outlet ports is
approximately linear, which means that the total flow to the inlet is almost constant over the
stroke of the valve stem.
As either port begins to open, it is characterized similar to an equal percentage curve to
enhance system stability.
