1. Set the top hook securely.
2. Correctly center the load on the bottom hook (Figure 1). Incorrect loading is dangerous to the
operator, the lever hoist, and the load.

3. Rotate the hand-wheel clockwise while simultaneously pulling down on the load chain. The hand-
wheel will snap back into place, re-engaging the gear.
