IntheUnitedStates,thefunctionsthatBannersafetyswitchesareintendedtoperformareregulatedbytheOccupationalSafetyand
HealthAdministration(OSHA).WhetherornotanyparticularsafetyswitchinstallationmeetsallapplicableOSHArequirementsdependsupon
factorsthatarebeyondthecontrolofBannerEngineeringCorp.Thesefactorsincludethedetailsofhowthesafetyswitchesareapplied,
installed,wired,operated,andmaintained.
BannerEngineeringCorp.hasattemptedtoprovidecompleteapplication,installation,operation,andmaintenanceinstructions.This
informationisfoundintheinstructionmanualpackagedwitheachsafetyswitch.Inaddition,wesuggestthatanyquestionsregardingthe
useorinstallationofsafetyswitchesbedirectedtothefactoryapplicationsdepartmentatthetelephonenumbersoraddressshownbelow.
BannerEngineeringCorp.recommendsthatsafetyswitchesbeappliedaccordingtotheguidelinessetforthininternational(ISO/IEC)
standardslistedbelow.Specifically,BannerEngineeringCorp.recommendsapplicationofthesesafetyswitchesinaconfigurationwhich
meetssafetycategory4,perISO13849(EN954-1).
Inaddition,theuserofBannersafetyswitcheshastheresponsibilitytoensurethatalllocal,state,andnationallaws,rules,codes,and
regulationsrelatingtotheuseofBannersafetyswitchesinanyparticularapplicationaresatisfied.Extremecareisurgedthatalllegal
requirementshavebeenmetandthatallinstallationsandmaintenanceinstructionsarefollowed.
