5.5.1 Saving and Recalling PSF Files
ToplacethedisplayedPSFintoafilethatcanberetrievedatanytime,selectFile
Save PSF (Figure5-26).WhenaskedifyouwanttosavethePSFtoafile,selectYes.
AsubscreentitledFileSavewillappear(Figure5-27).Overtype‘*.psf’intheFileName
entryboxwiththenameofthefiletobestored(upto8characters),plusthe.psf
extension;thenselectOK(orpressEnter).ThePSFwillbestoredontheselected
drive(defaultis‘c:’)andtheprogramwillautomaticallyreturntothePSF
Configurationscreen.
ToretrieveafiledPSF,selectFile Retrieve PSF.TheFileBoxsubscreenwillappear
(Figure5-28).SelectthedesiredPSFfromtheFileNamelistandselectOK(orpress
Enter).TheselectedPSFwillloadtothePSFConfigurationscreen,anditcanthenbe
loadedintothecontrollerusingtheSend PSFcommand.
5.5.2 PSF Output Analysis
ToviewactivityinthearrayinresponsetothecurrentlyloadedPSF,selectExecute
(Figure5-26).TheMeasurementOutputscreenwillappear(Figure5-29);selectRun.
Thetablewilldisplaythestatusfortheselectedmeasurementmode(s),includingthe
PresentvalueandtheHighandLowvaluesfortheRunperiod.
SelectStopto“freeze”thedata.SelectSteptoinitiateasinglescanofthearrayto
simulatea“snapshot”ofwhatisviewedbythearrayattheinstantthatStepis
selected.
UseoftheExecutecommandisespeciallybeneficialfortestingtheresponseof
agatedsystem.RunsimulatestheContinuousScanningmode,andStep
simulatesagateinputcommand.
5.5.3 Quit and Exit
ToclosethePSFConfigurationscreen,selecteitherQuitorExit (Figure5-26).
SelectingQuiterasestheEditPSFScreenandsendstheuserbacktotheMain
Window;thepresentPSFScreenvaluesarenotretained.TheExitcommandis
similartotheQuitcommand,excepttheuserwillbepromptedtosavethe
configurationvaluestoaparametersetupfile(PSF).
