The standard T30R-1515 and T30R-4545 have a narrower bandwidth sweep, which provides exceptional performance
across most of the sensor’s range but declines in the near range. The T30R-1515-C near range models sweep across a
wider bandwidth and with that added information have a smaller dead zone and improved performance in the near field, as
well as maintaining that performance across its range.

1.2 Overview
The T30R is an industrial radar sensor that uses high frequency radio waves from an internal antenna. It detects high-
dielectric targets, such as metal or large amounts of water, and lower-dielectric materials, such as wood, rock, or organic
material. The sensor can be configured with software, IO-Link, remote input wires, or push buttons to sense objects up to a
specific distance, ignoring objects beyond this distance (background suppression). Or the sensor can be taught a reference
point to detect the presence or absence of an objects (retroreflective).
