2.2. Wiring
Each system is shipped with a wiring diagram which includes internal connections of the actuator.
These connections are for clarity and information only. Each wiring diagram may be generic or may be
project specific. Generic diagrams for each drive system are included in the appendix at the back of this
manual. If the wiring diagram is project specific, it will have the same number as the EIM Job Number.
2.2.1. Power Wiring
Power wires must be sized for the rated motor voltage and current in accordance with NEC. Refer to
EIM Job Specification sheet for motor current requirements. Power to the actuator is connected to L1,
L2 and L3 terminals in the M2CP enclosure.
2.2.2. Control Wiring
Control wires connect to terminals on P4 of the TBM in the M2CP and on various terminals of the VFC
drive depending on the drive model. These wires control when the drive operates, as well as the
direction and speed. They are open collector inputs on the drive, the M2CP sinks these to the drive
logic common. Control wires should be 20AWG or larger shielded cable. Terminal points on P4 of the
TBM are defined below.

P4-E VFC Fault (Optional for Controlinc only)
