Aseparateshut-offvalveforeachovenmustbeprovided.Itshouldbeascloseaspossibletotheplace
wherethegaslinegoesintotheoven.Itmustbelocatedsuchthatitiseasilyaccessible.Whenstacking
withanotheroven,twoshut-offvalves,oneforeachofthetwoovens,mustbeprovided.
Theoven,wheninstalled,mustbeelectricallygroundedinaccordancewithlocalcodesand/orthe
latesteditionoftheNationalElectricalCodeANSI/NFPANo.70intheUSA(CanadianElectricalCode
CSAStandardC22.1,Part1inCanada).
InEurope,theappliancemustbeconnectedbyanearthencabletoallotherunitsinthecomplete
installationand,thence,toan independentearthconnectionincompliancewithEN60335-1and/or
localcodes.
Theelectricmotor,alltherelatedswitches,interiorlights,andthetimer/buzzerareallconnected
throughthe6-foot(1829mm)powersupplycordlocatedattherearoftheoven.Thesupplycordmust
bepluggedintoaproperlygrounded,three-prongreceptacle.DONOTCUTORREMOVETHE
GROUNDINGPRONGFROMTHEPLUG.
Normalfactoryconnectionsaremadefor120voltsA.C.,60hz,ServiceinUSAandCanadaor240volts
A.C.,50hzserviceinEuropeancommunitycountries.Othervoltagescanbesupplieduponrequest.
Electricalcharacteristicsofthisunitcanbefoundontheratingplatelocatedontherightsideoftheunit.
Thisunitisprovidedwithapermanentlylubricatedelectricmotor.Awiringdiagrammaybefoundonthe
backoftheservicepanelontheright-handsideandinthismanual.
Iftheovenisnotventeddirectlyandisinstalledunderaventilationhood,theunitisreadytobeinstalled
asis.Localinspectorsandventilationspecialistsshouldbeconsultedsothatthedesignandthe
installationofthehoodconformtolocal/municipalcodes.IntheU.K.,followventilationrequirements as
detailedinB.S.5440.
NOTE:
AftertheGasSupplyhasbeenconnected,itisextremelyimportanttocheckallthepipingfor
leaks.Useasoapandwatersolutionoraproductexpresslymadeforthispurpose.Donotuse
matches,candlesoraflameandsoforthtocheckleakssincethesemethodsareextremely
dangerous.
