Fuelcouldcatchfire if youdo nothandleit properly.
Whendrainingthe carburetor,be suretoshuttheengineoff. Donot
smoke,andneverdrainorrefuelinanareawherethereareopenflames
orsparks. Donotspillthefuel oryou maycreatea fire hazard. Dispose
ofdrainedfuel properly.
Thistroubleshootingguideis providedto helpyoufind the causeof some
commoncomplaints.
COMPLAINT:Engineishardto startordoesnotstartatall. Somethingis
probablywrongwiththe fuel systemor ignitionsystem.
Fuel Supplying Check
1. Makesurethereisadequatefuel inthefuel tank.
2. Checkthattheenginestopswitchisinthe"RUN" position.
3. Checkthatthefuel valveisinthe"ON"position.
4. Makesurethereisenoughfuelreachingthecarburetorfromthefuel tank.
a. Loosenthedrainscrewwhichislocatedunderthecarburetor.
Drainthefuelfromthecarburetorintoacontainer.
b. Tightenthedrainscrew.
c. Runtheenginefor afewseconds.Shutoffengine.
d. Loosenthedrainscrewandcheckthatthecarburetorisfelledback
upwithfuel.
e. Iffuel isreachingthecarburetor,theignitionsystemshouldbe
checkednext.
