BRAKING
TheATVhastwofront drumbrakesandonereardiskbrake.
FailingtoinspectandmaintainyourATV'sbrakesystemproperlycould
behazardous.
Impropermaintenanceofthebrakeincreasesyourchanceof havingan
accident.
BesuretoinspectthebrakebeforeridingaccordingtotheINSPECTION
BEFORERIDINGsection.Alwaysmaintainyour brakesaccordingto the
MAINTENANCESCHEDULE.
OperatingtheATVin harshconditionscouldbe hazardousifyoudo not
inspectbrakewear often.
Operatinginmud,water,sand,or otherextremeconditionscancause
acceleratedbrakewear. Thiscouldleadtoanaccident.
Ifyouoperateyourvehicleundertheseconditions,the brakemust
beinspectedmoreoftenthanrecommendedinthe MAINTENANCE
SCHEDULE.
Frontdrumbrakes
1. Tryto movethe vehiclebackwardand
forward whenthefront brakeisapplied. If
thefront wheelscanturn,adjustthe front
braketolockthewheelssecurely.
2. Measuretheamountoffree playinthe
brakeleverneededto beginapplyingthe
brakesas shown. Thefree playshouldbe
about4~6mm(0.16-0.24inches).

adjustmentnutlocatedonrightandleft
front brakedrumassemblies

Afteranyadjustmentof thebrake,check
againto makesurefront wheelscannot
turnwhenthebrakeisapplied.
