Youremissioncontrolsystemwarrantycoverscomponentswhosefailure would

increaseanengine'semission,includingelectroniccontrols,fuel injection

system,carburetor,theignitionsystem,catalyticconverter,or anyothersystem

utilizedinthisvehicleto controlemissionif it is originallyequipped.Also

includedmaybehoses,connectorsandotheremission-relatedassemblies.Re-

placingor repairingothercomponents(includingparts,labor,andothercosts)

notcoveredbythisemissioncontrolsystemwarrantyorthe standardwarranty

isthe responsibilityof theowner.

Coverageof repairsunderthiswarrantyappliesonlywhenrepairsare complet-

edat anauthorizeddealerorrepairfacility. The Distributorwillnotcoverrepairs

performedoutsideof anauthorizeddealerorrepairfacility. Theuse of replace-

mentpartsnotequivalentto the originalpartsmayimpairtheeffectivenessof

yourvehicle'semissioncontrolsystem.Ifsucha replacementpartis usedand

anauthorizeddealerdeterminesit isdefectiveor causesa failure ofawarranted

part,yourclaimfor repairtobringyourvehicleintocompliancewithapplicable

standardsmaybedenied.

ThisEmissionControlSystemWarrantyis inadditionto the standardLimited

Warranty.

EXCLUSIONSANDLIMITATIONS

Thiswarrantydoesnotcoverthefollowing:

• Failuresor malfunctionsoftheemissioncontrolsystemscausedby

abuse,alteration,accident,misuse,theuse of leadedgasoline.

• Replacementofexpendablemaintenanceitemsunlesstheyareoriginal

equipmentdefectivein materialorworkmanshipundernormaluse,andthefirst

requiredreplacementintervalfor theitemhas notbeenreached.Expendable

maintenanceitemsincludebutnotlimitedtosparkplugs,filters, coolant,lubri-

cants,gaskets,hoses,andbelts.

• Replacementsofpartsandotherservicesandadjustmentsfor required

maintenance.

• Anyvehicleequippedwithanodometeror hourmeterwherethe read-

ingis alteredso thatactualmileagecannotbe readilydetermined.

• Repairsorreplacementsas a resultof:

• Accident

• Misuse

• Useof replacementpartsor accessoriesnot conformingto theoriginal

specificationswhichadverselyaffectperformance

• Physicaldamage,corrosion,ordefectscausedby fire, explosionsor

similarcausesbeyondthecontrolof the Distributor.

• Failuresnotcausedbyadefectinmaterialorworkmanship.
