Frontgearcasefill cap

Tocheckfront andrearclearcaseoil:

1. Placevehicleon levelground

2. Removegearcasefill cap.

3. Inspectoillevel. Oillevelshouldbe upto

thebrimof the hole.

4. If oil is low,addspecifiedoil (SAE80API

Hypoidgearoil)".

5. Tightenfill capto 23Nm (17ft.lb)

Drainplug

1. Placevehicleon levelground

2. Removegearcasecover.

3. Placecontainerundergearcase.

4. Removefill cap.

5. Removeoil plug.

6. Letoil drainout completely

7. Installthe drainplugandtightento

23Nm(12.6ft Ib).

8. Installgearcoverandtightenbolts

9. Add gearoil (SAE80API "G-4 HypoidGear

oil") fill to brimofhole(approx.3 oz)

10. Installfill capandtightento23Nm

(17ft lb.)

Failingto havetheproperamountof gearoil inthe front andrear

transfercasewilldamageyourATV.

Lowor nogearoilwillcausewearonthe gearscausinggearstoseize.

Besuretocheckfor leaksinthe gearcaseandkeepoil upto the

prescribedlevel.
