NOTE: ThisATVusesresistor-typesparkplugtoavoidjammingelectronic
parts. Impropersparkplugselectionmaycauseelectronicinterferencewith
yourATVsignitionsystem,resultinginthe vehicleperformanceproblems.
Userecommendedsparkplugs.
Toinstallasparkplugturn it inasfar as possiblewithyourfingers, then
tightenitwitha wrench.
A CAUTION
Improper installation ofthe sparkplugcoulddamageyourATV.
Anoverlytight orcrossthreadedsparkplugwilldamagethe
aluminumthreadsofthecylinderhead.
Carefully turn the sparkplugby handinto the threads. If the spark
plugisnew,tightenitwitha wrenchabout1/2turnpastfinger tight. If
youarereusingtheoldsparkplug,tightenitwithawrenchabout1/8
turnpastfinger tight.
A CAUTION
Dirt coulddamageyourATVif it enteredanopensparkplug holeof
cylinderhead.
Dirt coulddamage engineparts that move.
Coverthe sparkplug hole while thesparkplug is out of the hole.
Tomaintaina properfunctioning sparkplug,keepthe plugfree ofcarbon.
Removecarbonfrom the plugwithawireor pin,andadjustthe gapto
0.6~0.7ram(.024- .028in)for goodignition.Usea thicknessgaugeto check
thegap.
