14. DO NOTPLACEHANDS,FEET,ORANY OTHERPARTOF THEBODYOR
ANY CLOTHINGNEARTHEENGINE,MUFFLER,WHEELS,CHAINANDOTHER
ROTATINGPARTSOFTHEVEHICLEWHILERIDINGOR RUNNINGTHE
ENGINE.Caution must be used in performing required maintenance on or near
an operating engine.Special cautionshouldbe taken after the engine has
been running, sincethe engine and other drive componentsmay beextremely
hot.
15. Wet, slippery,rough,or steepterrainis potentiallydangerousandmay
resultin injuryif propercautionin notobserved.Slowspeedsare required
tosafelyoperatethisvehicleundertheseconditions.Theoperatormustuse
maturejudgment,skill,andexperienceto chooseaspeedsuitablefor terrain
andridingconditions.
16. Thegovernorsettingsfor this vehicle's enginemustnotbetampered
with,altered,or changed.Thegovernorissetby theenginemanufacturerand
limitsthe maximumspeedof theengine(andvehicle)and protectsthe engine
from damage.Excessivespeedsarepotentiallydangerousto theoperator/
passenger,andtheengine.
17. Eachtime before usingthis vehicle, the fuel supplyshouldchecked.
Thefuel tankshouldneverbefilled whiletheengineis runningorwhilethe
engineishot.Donotfill tankina closedareasuchasa garage,while
smoking,or inthevicinityof an openflame. Donotoverfillthetank.There
shouldnotbeanyfuel inthe filler neck.Replacecaptightlytoprevent
spillageoffuel andpotentialfire hazard.Afterfilling tank,movethevehicleat
least15feet awayfrom thespotof filling beforestarting.
18. Ifthevehicleshouldstartmakingunusualnoiseorvibratingabnormally,
theengineshouldbestoppedandthesparkplugwiredisconnected.The
vehicleshouldthenbecheckedfor damage.Excessivenoiseorvibrationis
generallya warningof looseorwornparts.
