7. THEVEHICLESHOULDNEVERBESTARTEDWITHOUTFIRST
CHECKINGTOSEETHATTHETHROTTLEIS INIDLEPOSITION.Donotstart
enginewithoutverifyingproperfunction of the throttle.Neverattemptto start
thisvehiclewithouthavingtheoperatorseatedintheproperposition.When
startingwiththeoperatorin theseat,the operatorshouldhavetheir leftfoot
onthe brake.
8. Thisvehicleisnotdesignedor intendedfor racing,anyform of
competition.
9. Theoperator'sabilitytooperatethisoff-roadvehiclesafelyislargely
dependentupontheoperator'sabilityto exerciseproperjudgment.An
operatoralsomustnotbe toosmallor toolargefor controlledoperation.
Theoperatormustbeofsufficientage,understanding,mentalcapacity,and
physicalcapabilityto safelyoperatethisvehicle.Thisvehicleshouldonlybe
operatedaftermature,supervisedinstructionandsufficientpractice.Safe
operationincludesresponsibilityfor thesafetyof a passenger(if any).
10. A DOUBLESEATVEHICLEIS DESIGNEDFORONEOPERATORAND
ONEPASSENGER.Nooneshouldeverattemptto rideonthisvehiclewithout
beingseated,withthe seatbeltproperlysecured.Fordoubleseatvehicles
riddenwithoutpassenger,thepassengerseatbeltmustbesecuretoprevent
itfrom gettingcaughtupinoperatingcomponents.Anypassengermustbe
ofsufficientage,understanding,mentalcapacity,andphysicalcapabilityto
actto protecthimself/herself.ALWAYSFOLLOWTHERECOMMENDEDAGE
RESTRICTIONOF16YEARSFOROPERATORSAND PASSENGERS.
11. Theengineshouldbestoppedwhenthevehicleisnotin use.
12 Theoperatorandpassenger(ifany)ofthisvehicleshouldalwayswear
a helmetapprovedby agenciessuchas DepartmentofTransportation(DOT),
SafetyHelmetCouncilofAmerica(SHCA),or SnellMemorialFoundation
(SNELL).Mostoff-roadvehicleaccidentfatalities aredueto headinjuries.The
operatorshouldalsowearface shieldsorgoggles,bootsorclosed-toeshoes,
gloves,andotherappropriate
protectiveclothing.
