MaximumThrottleOpeningRecommendation
Duringthefirst 10hoursofoperation,youshouldalwaysuselessthan1/2
throttleopening.
VarytheEngineRotatingSpeed
Varytheenginerotatingspeedduringthebreak-inperiod.Thisallowsthe
partsto "load" andthen"unload" (allowingthepartsto cool).Althoughit is
essentialto placesomestressonthe enginecomponentsduringbreak-in,
youmustbecarefulnotto loadthe enginetoo much.
AvoidConstantLowRotatingSpeed
Operatingtheengineat constantlowrotatingspeed(lightload)cancause
partsto glazeandnotseal properly.Allowthe engineto acceleratefreely
withoutexceedingthemaximumthrottlelimit.
AllowtheEngineOilto CirculateBeforeRiding
Allowenoughidlingtimeafterwarmor coldenginestarting. This allowsthe
lubricatingoiltoreachall criticalenginecomponents.
ObserveYourInitialandMostCriticalService
Theinitialservice(break-inmaintenance)isthemostimportantservicethat
yourvehiclewillreceive.Observinga properbreak-inoperation,willhelp
enginecomponentssealproperly.Maintenancerequiredas partof the initial
serviceincludesproperadjustments,tighteningofall bolts& nuts,and
replacementofdirtyoil. Timelyperformanceofthisservicewillhelpyouget
thebestservicelifeandperformanceof the engine.
