in proper working order and to ensure that the
sensorswilllastforthelifetimeoftheproduct,itis
recommendedthatyou:
• Test the sounder, batteries and circuitry of your
detectoronceperweekbypressingandholding
theTest/Resetbuttonfor1second.
• Perform the sensor test annually.
• Keep the detector free of dust by gently
vacuumingwithasoftbrushattachmentwhen
required.
• Topreventthepossibilityofcontaminatingthe
sensor in your detector and thus affecting its
reliability:
• Neverusecleaningsolutions onyourdetector.
Simplywipewithadampcloth.
• Do not paint the detector
• Do not spray aerosols on or near to the detector.
• Donotuseanysolventbasedproductsnearto
the detector
Failure of any test should be reported to
the manufacturers technical support line.

Do not attempt to repair your CO Detector. Do not
remove any screws or open the main casing of
your detector. Any attempt to do so may cause
malfunctionandwillinvalidatethewarranty.
Never ignore any alarm.
What to do in the event of an alarm
• Keepcalmandopenallthedoorsandwindows
toventilateyourcaravan
• Stop using all fuel burning appliance and ensure
wherepossibletheyareturnedoff
• Evacuatethecaravanleavingdoorsandwindows
open
• Donotreenterthecaravanuntilthealarmhas
stopped.
• Getmedicalhelpforanyonesufferingtheeffects
ofCOpoisoningandadvisethatCOpoisoningis
suspected.
• Closethewindowsanddoorsanddonotusethe
caravanagainuntilyouhavehadafullserviceof
all appliances by your supplying retailer. In the
case of gas appliances they must be tested by
aGASSAFEregisteredinstaller.Pleaseconyact
yourBaileyRetailerformoredetails.
The electro-chemical sensors used in the carbon-
monoxidealarmhavealimitedlifespan-therefore
it is recommended that a CO alarm is replaced
every5-7yearsaftermanufactureorinaccordance
withtheunit’sinstructions,dotobesurecheckthe
manufacturing date on the alarm’s label.
