23. DAEWOO MICROWAVE OVEN
Precautions to avoid possible exposure
to excessive microwave energy
• Do not attempt to operate this
oven with the door open since open-door
operation can result in harmful exposure
to microwave energy. It is important
not to remove or tamper with the safety
interlocks.
• Donotplaceanyobjectbetweentheovenfront
faceandthedoororallowsoilorcleanerresidue
toaccumulateonsealingsurfaces.
• Ifthedoorordoorsealsaredamaged,theoven
mustnotbeoperateduntilithasbeenrepaired
by a competent person: (1) door (bent), (2)
hinges and latches (broken or loosened), (3)
doorsealsandsealingsurfaces.
• It is hazardous for anyone other than a
competent person to carry out any service or
repairoperationwhichinvolvestheremovalof
acoverwhichgivesprotectionagainstexposure
tomicrowaveenergy.
• Liquids or other foods must not be heated
in sealed containers since they are liable to
explode.
• Theapplianceisnotintendedforusebyyoung
childrenorinrmpersonswithoutsupervision.
Youngchildrenshouldbesupervisedtoensure
thattheydonotplaywiththeappliance.
• Only allow children to use the oven without
supervision when adequate instructions have
beengivensothatthechildisabletousethe
oveninasafewayandunderstandsthehazards
ofimproperuse.
OperationProcedure
Thissectionincludesusefulinformationaboutoven
operation.
1. Connectthemainsleadtoanelectricaloutlet.
2. After placing the food, in a suitable container,
opentheovendoorandputitontheglasstray.
Theglasstrayandrollerguidemustalwaysbe
inplaceduringcooking.
3. Shutthedoor.Makesurethatitisrmlyclosed.
4. Theovenlightis ononly whenthemicrowave
ovenisoperating.
5. Theovendoorcanbeopenedatanytimeduring
operationby touching the doorrelease button
onthecontrolpanel.Theovenwillautomatically
shutoff.
6. Eachtimeabuttonistouched,aBEEPwillsound
toacknowledgethetouch.
7. The oven automatically cooks on full power
unlesssettoalowerpowerlevel.
8. The display will show “:0” when the oven is
pluggedin.
9. Timeclockreturnstothepresenttimewhenthe
cookingtimeends.
10.When theStop/Clear buttonis touchedduring
theovenoperation,theovenstopscookingand
allinformationretained.Toeraseallinformation
(exceptthepresenttime),touchtheStop/Clear
buttononcemore. Ifthe ovendoor isopened
during the oven operation, all information is
retained.
11.IftheStartbuttonistouchedandtheovendoes
notoperate,check thearea betweenthe door
and door seal for obstructions and make sure
the door is closed securely. The oven will not
startcookinguntilthedooriscompletelyclosed
ortheprogrammehasbeenreset.
Makesure theovenisproperlyinstalled
andpluggedintotheelectricaloutlet.
