Feature Benet
GALAXY® transmitters* are powerful yet small units. Size allows mounting in numerous locations both indoor
and outdoor.
GALAXY transmitters are fully enclosed in an
epoxy-based encapsulant.
This design is completely applicable for locations where
submerging conditions occur.
GALAXY transmitters are available factory-programmed
and pre-wired to RTR® (Recordall) and ADE® (Absolute
Digital Encoder) registers.
Installation is quick and easy, with no on-site wiring or
programming required.
The GALAXY system operates in the 450-470 MHz
frequency band.
Use of a FCC-licensed frequency provides protection
against interference in order to maintain system
performance.
Gateway Receivers communicate though LAN, Cellular
or Wi-Fi.
Expanded exibility in obtaining data.
GALAXY brings meter data directly to the utility oce
over a xed network.
Expenses and liabilities associated with sending meter
readers into the eld are eliminated.
The GALAXY xed network system is designed to
broadcast daily reads from GALAXY-equipped water
meters in the utilitys system.
Meter data can be used to improve utility customer service
by eliminating estimated reads and aiding in resolution of
billing disputes.
READCENTER® GALAXY module software is available in
single or multi-user platforms.
The software can be used at a single user station and is
purchased up to 5 users at a time.
READCENTER GALAXY module software oers numerous
reporting tools.
Gateway Reading Reports oer exception data such as
Tamper, Leak and No Read as well as other useful reports
such as Usage and History.
*Transmitter is also referred to as "Module."
