IR PROGRAMMING BRACKET
An optional IR Programming Bracket (PN: 65917-001) can be used to assist in reading ORION endpoints. The bracket facilitates
correct alignment between the IR optical read head of the programming cable and the IR port on the endpoint, ensuring a
steady read position while leaving your hands free.

Using the Bracket
The larger end of the bracket fits the bottom of the endpoint. The endpoint cable fits through one of the open sides. No tools
are required.
1. Attach the larger end of the bracket to the bottom of the endpoint and turn it slightly until it catches on the endpoint
tabs. When attached correctly, you can see the endpoint IR LED port through the opening in the bracket as shown.
You may need to reposition the bracket to make sure the IR LED port is visible.
2. Insert the optical head of the IR programming cable into the opening at the smaller end of the bracket. The optical
head ts snugly. Make sure it is placed straight up in the bracket.
Once the optical head is securely placed in the bracket and aligned with the endpoint IR LED port, the IR read can
be captured.
