Print2CAD OCR 2013 - 140
24. Calibration of Coordinates
Print2CAD’s OCR techniques also allow the accurate calibration of the coordinates of
the converted drawing.
24.1 Basics of the Calibration Problem
The coordinates of PDF, HPGL, DWF, TIFF, and JPEG les often have a signicant
accuracy error. This error is mostly created by exporting entities in a raster of 72 dpi
(dots per inch).
Print2CAD features settings to allow the user to calibrate the coordinates of the con-
verted drawing. This calibration happens in the horizontal and vertical directions. The
calibration of coordinates is based on pattern recognition methods. When calibrating
the coordinates, a special feature is used that keeps the horizontal and vertical lines the
same after the calibration.
