WARM-UP for 10 minutes, stretching break every 15 minutes, wear breathable layers
BEND low at the knees, scoop and lift with your whole body NOT just your back
FACE the snow keeping hips and shoulders square to the snow. Twisting is the enemy.
WALK with the snow to the deposit location – much easier than throwing a shovel-full
TURN sideways without twisting, point your feet in the direction you are tossing snow
BREAK the snow pile into smaller portions, less than 1 foot high, less weight is easier
REPEAT, best to keep up with the snow fall and move it when it is still fluffy!
